Mihail Korubin was born in Skopje, Macedonia in 1986. He is the third generation of visual artists in his family following the footsteps of grandfather, artist Mile Korubin and his father, artist Rubens Korubin. He graduated from the Faculty of fine arts in Skopje and later completed his master's degree in painting.
Growing up in an artistic home, Mihail spent many of his early years exploring the studio of his father, Rubens Korubin. With an art studio as his playground, he quickly began experimenting with paper, canvas, sketches and oil paint.
Mihail Korubin creates vivid and expressive oil-paintings primarily of portraits mixed in with a selected series of symbols which he calls “art tokens”. these represent his vision of a chosen word, expression and/or feeling. His style of mixing color and textures adds a sense of triumph to all of his work.
